Jack played in his sixteenth and last game of the season. He had a great game. Jack was 2 for 2 at the plate. He pitched 2/3s of an inning striking out two batters. Jack also had a number of solid plays in the field. Playing third, he field two grounders cleanly and made force outs at third. He caught a throw from the outfield to make a force out when he was playing second.
As catcher, He made a great play. The ball was popped up in front of the plate and was rolling slowly towards the first base line. Jack came out from behind the plate, fielded the plate cleanly and made a throw right over the top of the runner going to first base to get the batter out. I am not sure that I could have made that play.
