Sharon and Janie took off in the late morning to Echo Lake. They took the water taxi to the west end of Upper Echo Lake and then hiked up into Desolation Wilderness to Aloha Lake. They covered about 7.5 miles round hike.
On their way home, they stopped at Strawberry Lodge for dinner. Sharon noted that the place has changed hands in the last few years and appears to have gone downhill. She was very dissappointed in her meal...
