2006 Playoffs Game 1c

I went to game six of the Sacramento Kings versus San Antonio Spurs Western Conference first round playoff series. The first half was entertaining and very close. Leading by 36 to 35 with 2:45 to go in the first half, the Spurs went on a 20 to 1 run spanning the end of the second quarter and the first half of the third quarter. The Kings did not score their second point of the third quarter until the 6:50 mark. At that point, the game was essentially over. The Spurs won the game 105 to 83.

Sacramento C Brad Miller had another awful game, scoring three points on 1-for-6 shooting. For the second game in a row, the Spurs started Robert Horry at center!?!

The Kings hadn't lost a Game 6 in a playoff series at home since 1951, when they were the Rochester Royals. The more recent Kings won Game 6 contests at home against Dallas in 2003 and Minnesota in 2004.
