Jack, Sharon and I ran the 2007 Run 4 Independence 10k in Elk Grove. Jack started out fast; he and I averaged a 9:53 per mile pace over the first 5k. As we started the second half, the back of Jack's knee started to brother him. It was also fairly warm. Jack labored over the second 5k of the race. Jack's official finishing time was 1:10:20.2 for a 11:21 per mile pace. I was a couple of steps behind him.
