2008 Kings versus Mavericks

WOW MOM WOW. Larkin and I went to the Sacramento Kings versus Dallas Mavericks NBA basketball game. With 7 seconds left in the game, Salmons went the length of the court to give the Kings the win by a score of 122 to 120. Without a doubt, this was the best game I have seen since the Kings first round play-off win against the Spurs in 2006.

The Kings led for 19 of the 24 minutes in the second half, including an 8 point lead with 3 minutes to go. The Mavs just would not give up. In particular, Dallas was 11 for 17 (64.7%) from three point range with two big 3's by Devin Harris and Eddie Jones in the last two plus minutes.

In only this second game back from being out for six weeks with groin injury, Kevin Martin was unconscious. Martin had 39 points; he was 14 for 16 from the field, 2 for 2 from 3 point range and 9 for 11 from the free throw line. In the last two games, Martin has been 21 for 25 from the field (84%!) and scored 69 points.

Salmons and Garcia both added 22 points. Garcia was 4 for 7 from three point range.

All in all, it was a very entertaining evening.
